Day 1

Arrive in Sigiriya (approx. 4 hrs. - 145km)

King Kashyapa of the Mauryan dynasty built the famous Sigiriya rock fortress. Sigiriya functioned as the government's capital for the Sinhala Kingdom until King Kashyapa was defeated in 495 AD. After reaching the top of the Sigiriya rock, the beautiful view will be an unparalleled thrill as you experience the humming of the eco breeze. Day 2

Sigiriya - Polonnaruwa - Hiriwadunna - Sigiriya (approx. 3 hrs. – 122km)

The journey begins with a lovely walk to a man-made reservoir before departing by safari jeep into the Sri Lankan village. Explore Polonnaruwa, the island's second capital after the fall of Anuradhapura in 993AD. The fixtures constructed during this time will have you wondering about the technology and the artistic mastery employed to create them. Our half-day trip from Habarana includes a tour of the tiny rural village of Hiriwadunna. After taking a boat ride, hire a bullock cart and travel through paddy fields and rural vegetable farms to a traditional village house, where you'll enjoy a lunch that truly represents Sri Lanka.

Sigiriya - Colombo (approx. 4 hrs. – 145km)

The day is yours to spend leisurely. Visit an elephant sanctuary to soothe your soul by feeding the gentle giants. If you wish to know how the rich flavors of Sri Lankan spices are borne, pay a visit to the famous Spice Garden in Sigiriya. You can also visit the gem museum to witness rare and unique gems in Sri Lanka. Walk around Sigiriya, and collect souvenirs to take back home to remember the tranquility you feel throughout this vacation.

Children aged two to six receive a 60 percent discount on the per-person adult rate for transfers, excursions and package tours, provided they share a room with two adults.
Children aged seven to twelve receive a 50 percent discount on the per-person adult rate for transfers, excursions and package tours, provided they share a room with two adults.
These discounts apply to a maximum of two children per party. A child who needs a separate room is charged as an adult.
